Let’s make your ideas a reality.

I’m a digital media artist based in the Midwest specializing in animation, motion graphics, and compositing. I blend different art styles through a plethora of industry-standard software, creating videos that are easy on the eye (and really freaking cool).

My work is perfect for explainers, product pitches, commercials, short stories and much more. If you’re a startup looking to debut the next hit product, or an engineer needing to explain your breakthroughs to the layman, I’m your guy.

Sound good? Let’s start collaborating!

…So what do you do, exactly?

Great question! When I say I’m a digital media artist, that encompasses a lot of skills. I have studied at Wichita State University’s media arts program, with a focus on animation. The type of work I do makes me a great fit for teams in animation, film VFX, and video games.

Compositing

Compositing is what drove me to pursue this work professionally! I am most proficient in After Effects, studying it and practicing comp fundamentals for over ten years now. I have had practice with color grading, animation cleanup, garbage mattes, green-screen and keying, using render passes such as ID and cryptomatte passes, and a handful of other skills developed per project. Software I’ve used in comp work is as follows:

  • Adobe After Effects

  • SynthEyes

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • NUKE

Render Wrangling

When a 3D project has all its bells and whistles, everything completed, it’s my job to put it all together and get it finalized. This usually involves compiling all assets into one master scene, and setting up a render. At times, this also involves working with lights and materials in a pinch. Here are a couple renderers I have under my belt:

  • OTOY Octane

  • Autodesk Arnold

  • MAXON Redshift

  • AMD ProRender

Motion Graphics

It’s tough to say whether or not motion graphics or compositing is my favorite. So why not work on both? My motion graphics are developed to display data, or punch up a 3D render, among other things. Often I work on abstract pieces to deepen my knowledge. I use a few different suites for mograph work:

  • Adobe After Effects (see the pattern?)

  • Cinema 4D

  • Houdini

Animation

I couldn’t call myself an animator if I didn’t like animation! From a simple walk cycle to bringing a whole character to life, I delight in the process of animation. Some may find it tedious or daunting, but I’m up for the challenge. In tandem with other software listed, I turn to these suites for animation:

  • Adobe Animate

  • Adobe After Effects (seriously, this program is where I excel)

  • ToonBoom Harmony

  • Storyboarder
